A lot has been happening both behind the scenes and on site at the Sanctuary! 

Our large animal barn renovation is officially underway. Morton Buildings is on site performing the demo and it already looks so different! We are so excited to share the progress as it continues. 

Behind the scenes, we are working tirelessly with Structrite Engineers and PCI Construction to repurpose another building to house our cats and "catio". Permits are being submitted this week and construction is expected to get underway very soon. We are also working to layout site details for future septic, driveway and fencing. There is so much to think about during this process. First and foremost, the comfort of our animal residents is at the top of the priorities when planning this sanctuary. In addition to this, we have to think about accessibility so everyone can enjoy our animals and property. Finally, everything has to be set up in a manner that is efficient for working around the farm. (We don't want to have to drag hoses 1000 yards for example). 

There are lots of changes happening, but it is extremely important that we maintain the integrity of the origins of this farm. Future plans entail restoring the old 1910 dairy barn and restoring the farm trails and native flora. The rich history of this farm will be told for all who visit to honor. We are not bulldozing and forgetting. We are evolving the farm to fit our needs but at the same time honoring the past. We are excited to have you on this journey with us!
