Special Needs
Healed Leg Fracture

Caramel Corn was brought to the local Philadelphia Animal Shelter on December 23rd, 2025 after she was found lying on someone's porch and appeared injured. She appeared to have a healed Radius and Ulna fracture. She had an urgent plea for rescue as she was at risk for euthanasia due to her medical needs. We quickly called our partners at The Cat Collaborative in Philadelphia and they pulled her the day after Christmas when the shelter re-opened.

Miss "C.C" as she is known by her Foster mom, is recovering from Arthrodesis (bone graft and plate). She has a large cast that will help prevent injury as she is feeling good but still needs to take it easy. Her surgery was costly, but we will always do whatever is best for the animal, no matter the cost. The veterinarians are very happy with her recovery thus far!

She is currently presenting very sweet, calm and seems pretty comfortable.
